It's coming!

The launch Party for this year's Devon Coast to Coast Challenge 2012
will be held on
Sunday February 5th, 7pm,
at The Park Hotel, Barnstaple.

Following the success from last year's party-
and ride-
we have moved the launch announcement to a bigger venue.

All are welcome-
come along and not only find out this year's route,
but also all the changes and ideas we have to improve the ride.

You will be able to buy our much sort after Jerseys and Arm Warmers;
you will also be able to register for the event.

The Devon Coast to Coast Challenge are pleased to announce that we have won another award.

On Thursday 17th November, we won the Highly Commended Award at the North Devon Journal Sports Awards 2011.

It's the first award we have won as a team,
and we are very proud to be recognise in this way.

Thank you for all those who have supported us so far;
and believe us when we say-
next year's ride already looks AMAZING!!

We are looking forwards to announcing the route
and full details for the 2012 ride at our usual launch party,
in early February.
Keep an eye on this page for further details in the New Year.

The date for the 2012 is announced-

Sunday 3rd June 2012

This is the Sunday in the long Bank Holiday weekend

(as well as the Bank Holiday Monday the day after,

the Tuesday is also a Bank Holiday,

due to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee).

Pop it in your diary today!

The route will be announced at our Launch Party in early 2012.

Here is our competition winner- Alan Mead.

Alan has collected and handed in the largest amount -£1133.00,

and therefore wins our £100 Southfork vouchers.

Alan's story is a typical one from the ride;

he was 'encouraged' to ride by friends at Easter time-

and now he has really caught the cycling bug!

His plan for next year- as well as the Devon Coast-Coast Challenge-

is to work towards doing the London to Paris ride.

Well done Alan!

What a great day!

375+ riders rode, raising potentially over £35,000 for the North Devon Hospice!

The weather was 'interesting'.

The route was 'challenging'.

There were hiccups- things for us to learn by.

But best of all- there were people- in their hundreds- riding and smiling.

Thank you.

Thank you to you if you are one of our growing band of supporters.

Thank you if you helped out.

Thank you if you clapped, and shouted words of encouragement.

But most of all-

thank you if you rode.

You HAVE made a difference to real lives of people in the Hospice.

With the ride less than 2 months away (you have started training, right?),
we are really proud to announce some more great

Paul is personally a keen cyclist
(which is obviously a great thing in it's own right),
