Hi, and welcome to another Devon Coast-Coast Challenge newsletter! Hope you are all well, and already thinking about next years ride.

Next Year's Ride

As exclusively revealed on the Blog this week, the date for next year's ride is Sunday July 6th. We intend to keep the date steady now on, with it always being the first Sunday in July.

But there are changes at hand!

First, some great news- the chosen charity for 2008 will be the North Devon Hospice. We have worked with these folks before, and it is great to be working with them again for the next ride.

Anything else changed? Yes- the route! That's right, we are going to change the route each year (think 'Tour de France'). Under the scope of The Devon Coast-Coast Challenge, we will still be starting (for now) in North Devon, and finishing in the South of the county.

So expect a NEW challenge, with different hills to ride each year!

Although early days in the planning stages, I am pleased to let you know that there will be a social event for the launch of the new route during February.

Prize Giving

Well done to Dee Woods, who raised over £1000 this year. This helped us raise £8000 for the event, meaning that in the 4 editions of the ride, we have raised over £13,000 for North Devon Charities- brilliant!

For his efforts, Dee has won a £20 voucher from the lads at Southfork Cycles- check out the picture of Dee on the website home page!

The Exmoor Beast

Are you riding the Exmoor Beast this Sunday? If you are- GOOD LUCK from all of us here at the Devon Coast-Coast Challenge. If you see Mark or Sean there, buy them a pint! Tip? Take a low gear with you!
